The Good Decisions We Made:
- Bringing extra snacks saved us $50+ on overpriced café car food
- Our portable charger was a LIFESAVER when outlets were full
- Compression socks made the long journey so much more comfortable
What We Forgot (Don’t Make Our Mistakes!):
- Wet wipes (had to buy some at a station stop)
- A small pillow case (would have made the train pillow more comfortable)
- More layers (the train was freezing at 3 AM!)
Disney-Specific Tips

Taking the train to Disney is different from flying because:
- You arrive refreshed and ready to go (if you pack right!)
- You can bring more stuff (no airline baggage restrictions)
- You might want to change clothes before hitting the parks

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much luggage can you bring on Amtrak?
A: Much more generous than airlines! You get 2 personal items, 2 carry-ons, and can check 2 bags.
Q: Should I pack food for the train?
A: YES! The café car is expensive and has limited options. Pack more snacks than you think you’ll need.
Q: What’s the most important thing to pack?
A: A portable charger! Outlets fill up fast and you’ll want your devices charged for Disney arrival.
